By the age of three, kids are big enough to understand what a picture is and you can usually get their cooperation in taking their portrait. We like to go outdoors and try and capture their world, with them as the key player in it; a favourite beach, playground or your home can provide the perfect environment for them to express their personalities without noticing the photographer.

The studio still yields great opportunities - nothing beats the "playing grownup' images (wearing daddy's Cats) or the little girl dressed up in mummy's hat, stillettos and jewelry.
